EXAMINATION/EVALUATION

As per CBSE guidelines, the school has implemented continues and Comprehensive Evaluation for all the classes. The academic year will be divided into two segments .i.e. first and final. There will be two formative assessments and one summative assessment in each semester. The formative assessment includes whole gamut of activities, projects, practical, oral skills and weekly tests in addition to assessment of positive learning Behaviors to ensure continuous and comprehensive evaluation. The summative assessment takes place in the form of formal examinations at the end of each semester.

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES

The academic year is divided into two semesters and formal examinations are held at the end of each.

First Semester                                                   April-September

Second Semester                                            October – March

 

The syllabus of all the subjects is divided into two independent semesters. However, some basic conceptual portions of English, Hindi and Mathematics may be carried forward to the final Semester examinations.

 

PRE-NURSERY – KG

The progress md by the students is assessed on the basis of their day to day performance. For these classes there is no formal assessment.

 

CLASSES 1ST TO 10TH

The student’s performance is evaluated in the basis of oral skills, testing project works in both semesters.

Academic year is divided into two semesters: - First and Second

There will be two Formative Assessments (FA’s) for classes 1st to 3rd in both semesters.

Semester 1 = FA1 + FA2

Semester 2 = FA3 + FA 4

Result = Semester 1 +Semester 2.

 

(For classes 4th to 10th)

 

There will be two Formative Assessments (FA) and one Summative Assessment (SA) in each Semester.

Semester I = FA1 + FA2 + SA1

Semester II = FA3 +FA4 + SA2

Result = First Semester + Second Semester
